The Roasted Pork Loin dinner last night was delicious. If you missed it, but wanted some, let me know early so it has time to reheat-- we do not use a microwave here. (or you can take it cold and reheat yourself)
Tonight, I am showcasing Lucy's fresh salsa with Mexican Chicken (boneless thigh meat), Corn & Black Bean Salad in Sweet Pepper Boats, and Grilled Peaches for $10. Or choose Creamy Mushroom Soup with Roasted Baby Potatoes, and a Garden Salad. $10 I am featuring our Cold Plate for lunch. Choose 2 meat salads: ham, tuna chicken or curried egg, served with a scoop of my potato salad, Tomato slice and Pickle $6.75. Lucy was here yesterday and made a big batch of fresh salsa that will be available by the pint ($6) and half pint ($3.50) as well as on our menu this week. It is mixed in with the Black Bean and Corn Salad in Sweet Pepper cups (Sweet peppers and tomatoes from Browntown Farms) available at lunch today. What's Cooking Tonight is Roasted Pork Loin, baby potatoes, Raw Zucchini Salad with organic Salad Toppers ( a mix of cranberries and seeds).
We have Blueberry Muffins, Oatmeal Raisin cookies, Chocolate Chip cookies, Gluten Free Peanut Butter cookies, and Lemon Iced Sugar cookies $2.25 each or 2 for $4. Breakfast, Lunch or Supper:

Organic Penne Pasta with Meatballs and Marinara, Raw Zucchini Salad and Garlic Bread are What's Cooking Tonight for $10. Consider a stuffed Mushroom Appetizer (4): Veggie for $4.95 and local Sausage for $5.95. The California Cobb Salad comes back on the Lunch menu for $6.75, as does a Roasted Turkey & Cheese sandwich with avocado on Dave's Killer 21 Grain and Seed Bread for $6.75. California Cobb Salad is back tonight by request, and yes, it is filling enough for dinner. Beth Knapp's Chicken & Rice with Sweet Onion and Mushroom Sauce was delicious last night, and there is still some left if you want to try it today for lunch or dinner. Both Mexican and Mediterranean style Quinoa Salads are available.

Organic Blue and Yellow Tortilla Chips with Organic Salsa are available for Lunch for $1.95, along with Mexican style Quinoa Salad over Organic Baby Greens for $5.95. It is Quesadilla Night at Willows Bend Farm Kitchen! Dinner includes 2 quesadilla with your choice of fillings, Quinoa and Black Bean Salad with Cumin Lime Dressing.
Ham and Smoked Gouda Cheese Pate` is something new we are trying at lunch. You can also get a trio of your favorite salads: Tuna, Chicken, Curried Egg, or Ham on a bed of greens with some crackers. We still don't have any home baked goodies, but I picked up some organic Brownie Brittle at Costco along with some Popcorners snacks, organic Fruity snacks and Honest Kids Fruit drink boxes. Here's what's cooking at Willows Bend Farm Kitchen today. The Shrimp Cakes were amazing, but many folks who wanted to try them didn't get the chance last night, so I am whipping up another batch today. They are priced per cake (about the size of a crab cake) at $3.95 each. They sit on a bed of spring mix and come with Lemon Aioli sauce on the side. These are available at lunch today, or make a nice appetizer for tonight's London Broil with Mushrooms, Roasted Potato Wedges with fresh Rosemary, and Green Beans. You can sub in a grilled chicken breast for the beef for the same price. As always call early for dinner. London Broil takes time to marinate and I need to know how many to grill. Thanks! Hello Friends! Last night's Grilled Chicken Taco Salad was yummy, but I think the rain kept folks away, so we have plenty for lunch today if I stay away from eating all the fresh heirloom tomato salsa, that is! Or maybe folks are holding out for the Shrimp Cakes with Lemon Aioli that is What's Cooking Tonight. Sandy got a little outdoor seating area set up...maybe it will stop raining long enough to use it. We do have a few seats inside too, for those of you wanting to eat here rather than take your food to go. Best to let me know in advance if you want to do that.
