So this Moroccan meal was pretty darned yummy! Everything made from scratch including the Pita bread (Batbout). Also here is Eggplant and Tomato Dip (Zaalouk), Morroccan Cauliflower with Olives and Lemon, Garlic Green Beans with Ras El Hanout, and Chicken Kebabs (Brochettes).
You too can learn how to make this meal, and learn about the spice palette of North Africa, to create your own dishes. Allow at least 4 hours for this class. $50 per person includes one serving of each dish. Additional servings may be purchased. Call (804) 892-7588 to schedule. Wednesday—Turkey & Smoked Gouda Sandwich and Sweet Potato Soup hand sliced turkey, smoked Gouda (or other) cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo with silky, savory sweet potato soup $8.50 Thursday—Pita Pizza & Side Salad white or red sauce, plenty of mozzarella cheese on pita bread with your choice of toppings, pepperoni, mushrooms, peppers, onions, spinach, arugula, black olives, $7,95 Friday—Ham Salad Sandwich & Broccoli Cheddar Soup ham, sweet onion, dill relish, Dijon and Dukes mayo make this ham salad delicious paired with our creamy broccoli cheddar soup $8.50 Saturday—Spaghetti & Meatballs & Side Salad Handmade meatballs with tomato and herb sauce. Freshly made side salad with Spring Mix, cucumbers, peppers, sweet onions, carrots,tomatoes and choice of dressing $7.95 Tuesday: Leek & Potato Soup with Mushrooms and Asparagus Tips- a delicately flavored cream soup with fresh asparagus tips and sauteed mushroom garnish $5.95
Wednesday: Beef and Mushroom Soup with Farro- Warming soup studded with carrots, celery, baby bella mushrooms and shiitakes with farro, an ancient barley type grain. $5.95 Thursday: Zuppa Toscana Hearty, creamy soup with both spicy and sweet Italian sausage, potatoes and kale A customer said ours was better than Olive Garden $5.95 Friday: Shrimp Fritters with Lemon Aioli- A customer favorite! two fritters bursting with shrimp and mozzarella cheese. Comes with a positively addicting sauce for slathering. Served on a bed of baby spring mix. $7.95 Saturday- Swedish Meatballs and Buttered Noodles- Another customer favorite! Delicious meatballs smothered in creamy gravy served over buttered egg noodles. $7.95 Today's special is Lentil Rice Soup, a hearty soup to warm your bones, paired with our often requested Marrakesh Carrot Salad on a bed of greens inspired by Sprouted Kitchen Bowl + Spoon by Sara Forte. Carrots and chickpeas are the main act in a vibrant lime and cumin dressing.

Two Fajitas for $7.95 Beef Stew is one of the specials today. It has tender chunks of beef, browned in my special Pot Roast Browning Blend, potatoes and carrots in a savory sauce, slow cooked for great flavor.
